XBRL isn't just about the numbers; it is about the Notes to the Financial Statements, the MD&A and other textual information as well. In fact, one of the co-founders of XBRL had a background as a distressed company analyst and brought the need to easily find text - in particular, looking for key weasel words that point to a reputation in peril.
