Our instantiation of Info 2.0 (which is all about the delivery of information to Web 2.0 class of applications in the enterprise) is now available as IBM's Mashup Starter Kit here. It consists of the following two pieces tightly bundled together:
- Mashup Hub, which is the repository of the feeds that are mashable. It also includes powerful data mixing and remixing capabilities, that we had previewed as DAMIA. The layers 1 and 2 that I talked about in my post are now combined into the Mashup Hub layer. In addition, the Mashup Hub is the repository for the widgets that are needed for the next layer.
- QEDWiki, which is about quick assembly of the mashups. The feeds registered in, and mashups created in, the Mashup Hub, are seemlessly available in QEDWiki to create the application that will drive the business value.
We have done a few press interviews that are starting to appear (such as in ComputerWorld), but this preview is really about getting your feedback, which we will eagerly listen to, and incorporate, as we move towards a general availability of this software.
Meanwhile, enjoy this little piece of controversy, generated when I was pitching some of our vision to some VC's assembled at IBM's Almaden Research Center.
Anant, the controversial notions around degrees of freedom for Web 2.0 innovation within enterprises is an important topic - it deserves a main-line thread of its own, for which I'm sure there'll be lots of comments.

Anant, I took a stab at the "Web 2.0 innovation: anarchy vs. restriction" debate, at:

Please comment; this seems to be a topic that gets folks all sorts of worked up!

Will do Carl, and thanks for pointing me to your blog. I had wondered in one of my earlier posts when you will start blogging, I am so glad you are.
